Via ANIMAL (still not sure what exactly that is), comes a post on Brooklyn Street Art about a new mural somewhere in Bushwick that, according to one of the artists, is meant to “inspire hope. Just like Whitney Houston said, the children are the future.”
More from artist Chris Stain: “My friend Kevin speaks Spanish and I asked him what’s the word for ‘hope’ in Spanish and he said ‘esperanza.’ Since the neighborhood is heavily Latino, Bill and I wanted to do something the people could relate to.”
Our adorable Latino neighbors are so fortunate to have these outstanding artists giving them a figurative pat on the head with this mural in their language. What would little brown children do without them? Have no hope I guess.
