Hi Dresden, sorry about the extended delay in responding. Neither of us can be sure of a third party’s determination in cleaning up the land. The company is based around the corner at 30 Morgan, so it seems they’re expanding their facilities. A phone call may provide an update if you’re interested.
The process is indeed not small and they’ve been working on it since 2003. The state provides tax breaks through the Brownfield Cleanup Program, which the company is utilizing.

i think this was a very well written story about an area that NEEDS help. Whether it be a dairy project or golfing grounds, these vacant lots are nothing but eye sores.

I can’t wait! More loud, ugly trucks parked, idling, polluting, hitting our street signs, etc. However Andrew – I can guarantee this project isn’t going to happen. Not in this economy.

Awesome, who doesn’t want a packing, warehouse, and distribution facility for kosher dairy products on their block? What could be more useful?

I’m sure we all cannot *wait* for it to open.
