$1400 — 2br: This block is one of the most beautiful and intact in Bushwick, leafy, quiet, and as yet, rather inexpensive. The unit is excellent, with original details kept where possible and tasteful modern touches — like a new kitchen and bath, or exposed brick — added where necessary. On a bike you’re just minutes from any cool stuff on the other side of Bushwick, and it’s just a minute walk to the train.

$1110 — 1br: I do try not to list these gross new-construction jobs they slapped up all over Bushwick in recent years, but I must admit, from the interiors and street view, this one is reasonably well-done. The ad is somewhat unintelligible but here’s the gist: cheap, new, on a decent block.

$1600 — 2br: For those of you who want to stay near the prime parts and the “good” L train, here’s this place. You’re paying a few hundred bucks more for the location, which is worth it if convenience is important. Poor photos but it does seem to be renovated well and probably has a decent kitchen.

$1150 — 1br: Very bright and clean and inexpensive, and though it’s a far walk to anything fun or tasty, the L train is just a few steps out your door.

$1995 — 3br: Expensive, but a beautiful apartment in a pretty part of town. Lots of windows and light, renovated but retaining some original details, very nice kitchen and bathroom — this place seems perfect.
