We all know there are more bands and musicians than can really be counted in Bushwick: full-timers and hobbyists, home-based and venue-hopping, DJs and rock bands and string quartets. What if there were a place where all that talent and energy could be presented to an audience that loves local music?
Musician and programming genius Mike DiSanto (of the Significant Figures) has developed a platform for the hood’s musicians to upload tracks of any genre and recording quality. Users can stream or download the tracks, check out the artists’ websites, and comment on the bands and their music. This will be supplemented by BushwickBK’s music coverage, including interviews, reviews, and photos to create a one-stop shop for everything going on in Bushwick’s music scene. We’re calling it simply: Bushwick Music.
There is a module in the sidebar that will show you the latest uploaded track and how many new tracks have been added since your last visit.
We hope you’ll stick around as we polish it up and smooth out the kinks, and if there are any missing features you’d like to see, let us know.
We’ve planted the seed — it’s up to Bushwick to grow it.

Hi BushwickBK crew,
how about something similar for Bushwick artists? I.e. artists could upload some of their images and maybe even announce any events or exhibits they’re in. . . .
