$1250 — 1br: Something tells me this place is awesome, despite the lack of good photos. In an actual Victorian — rare in Bushwick — and a great price with all utilities included.
Cornelia and Bushwick | street view | Gates J
$1050 — 1br: Not too bad a block and a good-looking apartment. Looks like a cool arch separates the living room from the kitchen/dining area.
PETS OK | Harman and Evergreen | street view | Central M/Kosciuszko J
$1350 — 2br rr: Large apartment full of original details and even an old cast-iron sink in the kitchen, which is huge and would accommodate a breakfast table. Excellent location a block from the train on streets full of well-kept homes. A friend lives in another of this landlord’s buildings, and they are responsive and nice.
DeKalb and St. Nicholas | street view | DeKalb L
$1425 — 2br: Two large bedrooms and great old parquet floors, wood throughout, nice new kitchen, in a classic apartment building on lovely Bushwick Avenue. Great light, too.
PETS OK | Bushwick and Greene | street view | Central M/Kosciuszko J
$1400 — 2br rr: Nice floors, french doors, and good setup in this apartment. The location is not the best — near projects and a bit transportationally challenged — but it does have a bonus room and free wifi, and you have the whole top floor of the house for yourself.
PETS OK | Wilson and Woodbine | street view | Myrtle-Wyckoff LM/Knickerbocker M/Gates J

Re: 1400 2br rr listed here.
There is a mistake in this review. This apt is much less transportationally-challenged than some of the others. Just a few blocks from L/M train Myrtle Wyckoff, a couple more blocks from the M, and on 2 major buslines. Great location, I’d say.
And the quiet low-rise projects nearby are the best projects in all of brooklyn, VERY positive/community oriented, built after the Bushwick fires.
This is a gorgeous apartment. GORGEOUS. Tall ceilings. And you’ll have your own floor in a big house shared with a very cool couple.

Correction to my comment: 1400 2br rr
This sunny gorgeous catch of a place is just a few blocks from L/M train Myrtle Wyckoff, and near to the J train.
THe author of the review has not been here, so he has doesn’t realize just how awesome this place or the neighborhood is.

Ha. Yep. I live here and own it. I know it is wonderful, that’s why I bought it. And I want someone worthy and wonderful to live above me. Nuff said.

“In an actual Victorian — rare in Bushwick”
Victorians are the norm in Bushwick, which was mostly built out in the 1890s. Sometimes it’s just hard to tell under all the aluminum siding, linoleum, and sheet rock.
