		<description>This is great news and may represent a record for the time it took in getting a street re-named. Congratulations to all involved!

I am glad that the legislation merely added the name to the old street and did not obliterate it. As the following link from the BushwickBk forum should indicate, Kossuth Pl. was named after a Hungarian freedom fighter at a time - the 1850&#039;s - when modern Bushwick as we know it was just emerging.

So let&#039;s now hail both the old and the new!
