The MTA is finally embracing new technology… at least on the internet. While the agency has been dipping its toes in recent trends like Twitter, Metro New York reported today that transit officials will also start a blogging about its notoriously unpredictable L train service in effort to start a dialogue with riders.
“Like most blogs, we plan to have a comment section,” said NYC Transit spokesman Paul Fleuranges to Metro. “We expect and will encourage our riders to post comments and questions.”
The comments alone should make for an interesting read when the L train blog launches next month.

This is what the MTA’s employees use their time for? Propaganda? I hope this blows up in their faces.

A few things for the MTA – you are incompetent, corrupt, bureaucratic GARBAGE. You know who could run the MTA better? Anyone. ANYONE. The Fulton Street subway hub is a $1.4 billion nightmare. Nancy Shevel, a committee chair, doesn’t even show up to the finance meetings because she’s too buys hanging out with Paul McCartney. AND MTA salaries and pensions are so high, they are bankrupting the organization itself. What’s wrong with this organization? Everything.

And adding to the irony is the MTA doesn’t open their books, naturally, despite consistently asking for state funds to continue mismanagement.
