The naked body of a woman in her 30s was found this morning between two cars in a locked parking lot on Palmetto near Broadway. There are no signs of trauma, according to Kemberly Richardson of Channel 7, and an investigation is underway.

Strange that there is no update in the news about this case.

I think that video sets a record for “most white people gathered in Bushwick”. But yes, it seems too often that Bushwick tragedies are reported with very poor follow-up.
I remember posing pols Chuck Schumer and Christine Quinn promising “prosecution to the fullest extent of the law” for those involved in the beating death of Jose Sucuzhanay December 7, 2008. Did they send his body back to Ecuador and “forget” to focus resources to find these thugs?

Besides the fact that there has yet to be a follow up on this horrific tragedy, they’ve also painted a horrible picture of Bushwick, yet again. The news reporter comes on and paints us to be a kind of dark side of Las Vegas—-Bushwick is calm and peaceful by day but it’s a different story by night, prostitutes, raids and drug selling are what most residents say about Bushwick. This was said by the news reporter and I want to know, What residents!?!?! I never said this and I doubt anyone who Lives in Bushwick would say such a thing. Bushwick is just like any other borough in the city. Tell me of a borough that does not have drugs and people coming in from other boroughs committing crimes. Prostitution! I bet Governor Spitzer’s little darling, over expensive side dish didn’t come from Bushwick but she was indeed a prostitute. I’m not going to claim that Bushwick is perfect but most of the time when a crime is committed it is either by someone from another borough coming in and committing the act or it is by someone who has been in jail for far too long! I’m at work so I can’t finish being annoyed. I just hope someone helps that woman’s family find justice because no one deserves to have that happen to them. –db

Lately there is growing number of prostitutes on bushwick and drug related crimes. Such a beautiful neighborhood deserves better…

I think is was straight reporting. The name of the intersection happens to be the name of the neighborhood. There was a triple homicide a few miles from where I grew up – neo Nazi skinheads bludgeoned their parents to death. Did that give Pennsylvania a bad name?
