Ok, this cold is beyond and apparently we’re in for even more winter. Wah. Thankfully, it’s supposed to warm up this weekend and you have quite a variety of nightlife options before you, so no excuses accepted. Put on a proper coat and go out!

Tonight, warm up at Ad Hoc Art‘s print release party. Artist Camilla d’Errico will be on hand with her limited edition prints, comic books and merch. Celebrate Joe Ahearn‘s birthday at Silent Barn with the Beets, Boogie Boarder, and Michael Jordan. Happy Birthday from the culture team, Joe — you continue to amaze!

Friday, Grace Space presents Hoax Crusader, with performance art by Mideo Cruz, Jeho Bittancour, spoken word by Phillipe Javier Arcesto, live music and food provided by the Filipino community in NYC (free, folks!!). Jill Sigman/Think dance present ZsaZsaLand at Office Ops. Pass Kontrol and Kegs of Acid rock Bushwick Starr and Todd P has a full line-up at Market Hotel.

Saturday, head to Lumenhouse for their latest show, Sauce on the Side. Cafe Orwell offers a double bill: Crowd reading series followed by live music. Natalie Agee is back at the Bushwick Starr with an amazing Ruby Streak Trapeze showcase (2 shows!).

Sunday, time for more Coffee Talk at Pocket Utopia.

Monday, Twin Peaks is BACK at the Northeast Kingdom Den! New night, same hot Kyle MacLachlan and free donuts! And for the civically minded among you, Arts in Bushwick is sponsoring the “Bushwick Neighborhood Planning Initiative,” to talk about land use and its impact on all of Bushwick’s communities.

*A few heads up for all you genius artists out there: 3rd Ward is accepting submissions for their spring solo show, Video Gallery is looking for artwork for a silent auction on the 21st, Arts in Bushwick is gearing up for SITE fest, and FEAST (Funding Emerging Art with Sustainable Tactics) is looking for proposals and volunteers for their first installment on February 21.

I’ll be out of town again, so please let me know how it goes out there, team! Seemed like last weekend was pretty serious — hope you have a great one this time around as well.
