They played a really fantastic set. Definitely try to see them next time they play here. I agree with you about These Are Powers and Dan playing disappointing sets. I've seen Dan a handful of times, and he kind of seemed burnt out this time, it didn't really have the magic of is past sets. You really missed out by not catching Woods. I felt it was insufficient as well. Too quiet but not terrible either, just a little mediocre and puny. Unfortunately our regular company for the bigger shows had all of their gear stolen a few weeks previous and we had to go with a stopgap option. $3 a head doesn't buy a lot of great sound. If you've been to any of our shows at Danbro, you know the sound for these bigger ones is usually much better. I hear you on the sound. I felt it was insufficient as well.
