Happy Inauguration Week!!

Time to jump for joy (and hypothermia prevention), and there are plenty of local opportunities to shake it this weekend.

Tonight is for music lovers. Check out the lineups at Goodbye Blue Monday, or The Kingdom Den’s Downstairs Dustup (and get a pickle plate while you’re down there).

Friday, there’s more music to be had. Death by Audio is open for biz and trusty Goodbye Blue Monday hosts Hollow Jones (among others); or bravely cross the river for Jimmy and the Wolfpack at Lakeside.

Saturday is off the charts. Seriously — you couldn’t do it all if you tried. After you brunch, coffee and yoga, head to Willoughby for an art show/ open house at BoomChickBoomChick. Digital projections, installations, live music, drinks, snacks… the whole 9. Proceed to more art on view at Erick Johnston‘s open house on Myrtle. Chez Bushwick continues its new performance series, Cake, and there are tons of really fantastic music extravaganzas to choose from. (We are so lucky!) Supernature is back at Market Hotel, Silent Barn has a situation, Vanishing Point hosts an “all night jam of aural temptations,” and Buffie Gilbert presents Bushwick Band Night at Starr Space with Pass Kontrol, Lady Magma, and the Marionettes of Satan.

Sunday, do-goodery and fun go better together. Vanishing Point hosts a benefit for the Women’s Shelter of Brooklyn featuring performances by Sharon Van Etten, Elizabeth Devlin and Cyphered Threads and treats by Chef Dan.

Have fun and stay warm, Bushwick! Let us know how it goes out there…
