Tracks in the snow. They were just there outside the window. So much prettier and quieter and colder than the flakes we’re used to dealing with. Then the subway went by and I remembered I was late.

Great winter pic. Catches the feeling of the season.

The image brought to mind a long trek home during a winter blizzard in 1966 or 1967, where I waited on the upper-level at Broadway & Myrtle for the M train to get to Knickerbocker Avenue for what seemed liked days, but which was only an hour or so. Wicked cold without a doubt, but the snow induced hush and the thick swirl of snow flakes gave Bushwick an aura of beauty that I can still conjure up from time to time when I need a pleasant Brooklyn memory.
Thanks for the photo and Happy Hannakwanzamas to all.
