Shame on the writer for attacking these people. I dont see anybody else willing to dedicate their time and energy to make a difference in this community. They are all volunteers, and with regards to the board office, the make due with the very limited resources they have.

Yeah those evil developers and real estate agents are so evil. I mean, I’m not sure exactly why but I feel it, and its a popular thing to say. Good thing all they have to do is live long enough or dislocate a joint and they become lovely.

Was there a meeting? Did anyone go? Laura Brawlow and Deborah Brown are on the board, which is pretty awesome. Also, lay off the elderly and disabled. They’re lovely people. Save the criticism for criminals, real estate agents, and developers.

Unfortunately, the CB reflects the community it serves. CB’s in general have very limited power and serve primarily an advisory function for City agencies and the City Council. Until new people are willing to get involved and get on the council (generally all you have to do is let your City Council member know you’re interested) our CB will be populated by people with nothing better to do with their time: the elderly, disabled, etc.
