We’re moving. No more mice (hopefully). No more drop ceiling (that is the last time you will hear me say those words together, ever), no more multi-layered linoleum, no more cave.
Elusive money. The Art Collectors Blog reviews the latest show at Factory Fresh, which examines the different meanings behind power and currency.
Kinetic Cinema is Back. Kinetic Cinema screenings join us at Chez Bushwick after their former hosts were forced out of their Tribeca Basement. Welcome!
Ruuuuunway! That’s what my friends and I used to scream at each other as we gave our best walk on the piers in…a long time ago. Ah, how times change–fashion week was barely on my radar this week, were it not for this show which made me melt in a pool of inspiration and admiration. Phillip Lim was also great–as I am in a texture/pattern moment– and most impressive was the way he transformed the Bryant Park tent to look like a streamlined version of an eastern-Spanish coastal village. The set was created in a warehouse in Bushwick. Why do I never pass by that sort of thing? Why is it always fish-canning?
