Time to enjoy those last few warm days — it’s fall for real, folks!

I don’t know about you, but it’s been tough for me to concentrate this week after three whole days off. I think this weekend’s huge list of neighborhood fabulousness should wake me up a little.

Tonight catch Bushwick star Sharon van Etten at Zebulon — she’s back from touring and won’t be doing many more shows this year so fans should act fast!

Friday night take a mini gallery walk down Flushing starting at Pocket Utopia‘s latest opening — a group show featuring Dana Gentile, Suzanne Walters, Bill Gerhard, Sophie Naess and Rico Gatson. Then head to Factory Fresh for their Power & Currency opening. The show curated by Natalie Kates features work by several artists including Gaia and omg ESPO. I’m super excited!

Saturday night, check out Volume 5 of “robot costume affair” Monduna at the Bushwick Dept of Public Works featuring local band Hollow Jones.

After what is certain to be a wild weekend, get some fabulous yoga (and detox) at Starr Space‘s new Community Class ($6!!) at noon. After a quick shower and nap you’ll be ready for the closing reception (and retoxing BBQ) at English KillsMaximum Perception show.

I also wanted to give a heads up to all you genii working your asses off and making art in Bushwick. 3rd Ward is accepting proposals for their fall solo show and Christina Medina is seeking video art submissions for Anti-Oxidant salon in the NK Lounge.

Can’t wait to see whatcha got, Bushwick!
