I saw this film shoot live and got the worst pictures of Pierce Brosnan ever. He is a striking man.

If you visit my blog you'll see some of the pictures but I warn you I'm no pro-photographer.

Scot, Bushwick has long been a popular shooting location for Hollywood fils. Below I paste the text for a thread on this topic I started last year. This is just a short list of movies. There were many more:

- The French Connection: When Popeye Dole and his partner are following some gangster and his girlfriend, you can see them drive down Hart Street and turn right on Wyckoff ave. The gangster owns a coffee shop on Wyckoff between Hart and Suydam (notice the old Hart Lanes Bowling alley. I think it's a supermarket now, not sure). Popeye set up surveillance across the street from a hospital window, but the building was actually a factory loft and I think now it has been turned into expensive condo's.

- Dreams don't die: Cheesey 80's TV movie about graffiti artist trying to do right. Filmed all over the hood including Myrtle and Wyckoff and right inside my grandmother's apartment building on Wilson ave.

- Brighton Beach memoirs: Not really Bushwick (Ridgewood) but just a few blocks over the St. Nicolas border. I was staying with my cousin who lived nearby. On my way to ;work, I was shocked to see two whole blocks transformed into Brooklyn circa 1936. Everything was authentic! Cars, even the newspapers at the stand.

- Kojack: The old 83rd precinct on Dekalb and Wilson was a favorite of the Kojack set. I spotted Telly's bald head one day. cool. Loved that show.

- A good cop: Michael Keaton movie circa 1991. Also shot at the old 83rd precinct. Check out the shot of Wilson ave when Keaton walks out of the precinct.

- "The Believers" had an early scene in the then abandoned RKO Bushwick on Bdway and Gates.

- Fresh was filmed in the neighborhood

- American Gangster (the new Denzel Washington/Russell Crowe flick) on Broadway just west of Myrtle

- Ghost filmed on the Myrtle-Broadway platform.

-Malcolm X, was filmed at the intersection of Myrtle and Wyckoff in the early 90
's
-Coming to America" had a few scenes filmed near the Marcy Ave station on the el

- Spike of Bensonhusrt - Technically filmed in Ridgewood. At a small pizzaria on Myrtle ave facing the Ridgewood diner. I saw a few scenes being shot.

- I recall a movie that featured a single mom living with HIV. I thought it might have been Amy Irving but I can't located it on her IMDB profile. There is a scene in the film where she is supposed to be at a hospital in the Bronx. It was shot at Woodhull Hospital and there is a clear view of the Hospital entrance as the actress exits the Flushing Avenue el. If anyone remembers this film, please shout.
