So. Much. To do this weekend!  What will savvy Bushwick Culture fans choose?  Tonight, local genius performance art troupe Eagle Ager kicks off their annual summer tour with a whole new extravaganza at Space Space.  Friday brings the opening of Papa B Studios‘ latest show “Our Lady: Work by 8 Women Photographers” sponsored by the illustrious L Magazine, AND Goodbye Blue Monday hosts the musical stylings of Brooklyn-based band Backwords guest-starring our favorite trumpet-playing poet Pat Nugent.

Saturday is overwhelming. Head out early (like 3pm early) for a BBQ at Silent Barn with performances by Warmer Milks, Key Demo, George Steeltoe Ensemble, and Mr. Mocassin.  Proceed to two “Morgantown” art openings… Factory Fresh debuts Unnamed Rottens with new works by Beau Velasco, Daniel St. George, and Jeremiah Maddock and 3rd Ward’s spring show Suits opens.

Sunday Todd P presents one of those events my friend Kevin would say “isn’t in Bushwick, but Bushwickers will attend:”  the 4th Annual Unamplified Acoustic BBQ at the southern tip of Roosevelt Island.  Acts include Extra Life, Pterodactyl, the So So Glos and Big A little a to name a VERY few.  Seriously check out this footage of Matt & Kim at last year’s event….the DIY drum kit is unreal.  It was really difficult to pick picks this week — please check out the calendar for more great stuff and good luck out there kids!
