ConVitoLooted Zoning Deal: The Daily News skewers the Ridgewood-Bushwick Senior Citizens Council and Vito Lopez over the Williamsburg waterfront rezoning that through bureaucratic trickery resulted in millions for non-profit organizations to help poor people who won’t even be displaced… since they don’t live in warehouses on the river. RBSCC got a huge chunk of the money — and gets to extend its influence over Williamsburg and Greenpoint.

Welcome to Bushwick, I Guess: You know all those black people who shoot cops? Puerto Ricans are friendlier, says this guy looking for an apartment in Bushwick. Which is good, cuz he likes all those “authentic latin [sic] restaurants.” As is to be expected, this guy is partial to “gut-renovated” apartments. Wow.
