#1 — $1050 — studio: I love these old parquet floors. A good price for an ample studio with a decent kitchen and bath. I’m guessing this is on Bushwick Avenue, will update when I hear back from the agent.

#2 — $1650 — loft: Sweet loft at a reasonable price. Exposed brick, wood floors, new and tasteful kitchen and bath.

#3 — $1700 — loft: There’s something about this place — the austerity? — that really makes me like it. It says there’s exposed brick and a spacious kitchen but there are no pictures. As always, proceed with caution.

i’ve been out of the rental loop for so long i have no frame of reference any more. is $1000 for a studio considered a good deal these days? brownstoner just did a post of crown hts rentals and there appear to be similarly-priced studios there, and that’s considered a ‘brownstone’ neighborhood. of course there’s a ton of other factors, but if one appeal of bushwick is its cheap rent, you’d think rents would be notably lower than other neighborhood that gets so much lip service.
or has the tipping point already been passed?

studios are more expensive per sqft than 1brs, so they’re not a good measure. If 1 and 2 brs are still under $1400 in Bushwick, it’s cheap.
