Not sure if you’ve noticed, but there is an overabundance of Argentinean and Argentine-owned places to eat in the Williamsburg area, and now there’s to be one more. I personally know a handful of Argentineans who live in Williamsburg, and inevitably, some of them are leaking over into the fair burg of Bushwick. Their transriparian cousins are also in evidence, in such places as Angel’s Fruit Market on Knickerbocker, owned by an Italian-Uruguayan for the last 30 years and change — and even my next-door neighbor. FYI, Argentinean restaurateurs, I swear to you that if you open a place in Bushwick, I will eat a steak there once a week for a year. Promise.
My question to racemonger anti-gentroids is: since Argentineans are white, is this bad? Or since Argentineans are Hispanic, is this good? Here’s a tissue to wipe the brains leaking out your ears from the pressure of this one.

Then it has come full circle. About 20 years ago there were quite a few Uruguayans and Argentineans. Look hard enough and you might still find one or two. They used to have their own social club on the corner of Willoughby and St. Nicholas(there is a bodega there now). My how time have changed.

I have been mauling over this very same question for a little over a yr now, I work in retail in WBurg so I noticed the whites speaking Spanish, once I realized that I decided that either way you look at it we are screwed because they are either Hispanic gringos with money or Anglo’s with trust funds. Pick your poison.

Second – The Spanish are white. Spanish comes from white people.

Che Gueverra was from fucking Argentina. Yuck. I knew a Argentine who couldn’t stop badmouthing America, while smoking Marb reds and drinking Coca-Cola. He was more of a comedy sketch than a person though.

I think there is a new Argentine restaurant on Wyckoff between Dekalb and Myrtle. It looked nice and spiffy but I haven’t eaten there yet.
