Views of the park, proximity to anything even remotely cool and interesting and fun and tasty in Bushwick. Get on this.

#2 — $1400 — loft: I’m really liking this place. Wood floors, bedroom loft space, some exposed brick, new, if not terribly exciting kitchen. Location is pretty okay.

#3 — $1050 — 1br rr: It’s possible this is a two bedroom railroad, I can’t quit tell. Either way, it’s a total steal. Great location, though it is carpeted — yuck. I can’t tell much from the photo, so as always, proceed with caution.

#4 — $1250 — 1br: This looks like a pretty spacious apartment, though there are no photos of the kitchen or bathroom. Wood floors, some exposed brick, “dinette space.” I like it. Says Jefferson L stop but it’s Morgan, unless you’re going to Canarsie. And you’re not.

i can answer the WTF listing, it’s 31 Covert, one blcok south of me. for a new construction, it looks halfway decent. in real life. for some reason the owners have been using that computer-generated version for months. could be why the house itself hasn’t sold. i guess the train they mention is the J at Halsey (which is more like 3 blocks away). the “shopping area” … hmm.
the floor-to-ceiling windows are cool (wish i could say the same for the oddly-placed little window). the house was actually built in line with surrounding houses for once, but the front gate is set back a couple feet in compared to the neighbors. i dunno why they did that, it looks weird and loses that much more space inside the fence.
oh, the other reason this place hasn’t sold might be because they keep raising the asking price. first they wasked something like $750K, it’s currenly on CL for $840K. it’s like they don’t want it to sell.

‘Quite’ indeed, cuz they certainly can’t claim that building or that block to be ‘quiet’. Perhaps in the winter months, but in the warm months? Across from the park? On a stretch of street with a ton of kids racing around the garbage piles and everyone hanging stoopside?

I counted.. There are at least 8 apartment renovations going on on starr between knick and irving, not including the one entire building that has been completely gut–renovated.
the feel of this block will definitely be changing. and honestly, the park is not unpleasantly loud at all, except when there’s a preacher there on summer weekends. that is not cute. otherwise the sound of people and children in the park is oddly reassuring. it’s sort of like white noise

say, how bad is the preacher noise? i only have church noise near my house but i was in a car last week and drove through PLG, Crown Hts and Bed Stuy and there were preachers on many corners. i had no idea there were so many. so were just shouting and literally waving bibles, but others had a whole sound amplification system. if they set that up in the park …

I’m talking sound amplification and going to sleep w/earplugs the night before–praise jesus! It’s really my only beef about the park.
