Bushwick Apartment Roundup 11/8/07

#1 — $1400 — 2br rr: Awesome job renovating this railroad apartment by BushwickBK reader Joe. Bamboo and hardwood floors look great — hell, everything looks great. Railroads are perfect for a single person or a couple, and this one is flawless. No “look at me! I’m modern!” cheese in the kitchen — it’s understated and rather luxurious, and it’s got a dishwasher. Bathroom is clean and simple.

#2 — $1475 — 2br: Very nice job on this renovation. The original floors are intact and the kitchen and bathroom are updated tastefully. This is one of the large brick buildings on Bushwick Avenue — the ones big enough to have names. No, I don’t know the name of this one. The lobby is pretty awesome (”ancient architectured”).

#3 — $1100 — 2br rr: Just a simple, old railroad. Nice floors and a pretty good location close to food. A good price for what it is.

#4 — $1400 — 1br: It’s got charm and is on a very attractive block, despite it’s boring location. Bushwick Avenue is gorgeous but amenity-free. Nice looking place, bathroom is old but in good shape, though there are no shots of the kitchen. Proceed with caution.

#5 — $1600 — loft: What. 17-foot ceilings and what is that semi-rotunda thing? Very cool, whatever it is. Dumpy shitstain railings in the sleeping loft but whatever, just cover it up. I don’t know how “teeming with excitement” the streets below are, but this is a decent enough apartment to warrant the price.

From the wtf file: I’m pretty sure I included this in a roundup weeks ago — why is a $1300 three-bedroom apartment in a decent enough area still vacant? Maybe they’re trying to fill a whole building?
