
Photo blogger Jake Dobkin laments the inexorable journey of land toward its highest and best use. I disagree that Williamsburg is physically that much different than Bushwick at this point — it’s still a bunch of razorwire and weedy lots and graffiti and ugly, depressing industrial hulkage — it just has fun stuff to do among all that. Anyway, props for mentioning Jane Jacobs.

i would say it might be a bit premature to mourn the passing of Bushwick’s industrial-wasteland areas.

haha, that’s pretty much what I was saying — Williamsburg, the height of hip, is still full of Warriorsesque scenery — there’s no reason to expect Bushwick’s to be gone any time soon.
