These might turn out to be unfounded, but a contact who knows told me this summer should be “eventful” for those of us who would like to eat something other than Chinese food served through bulletproof glass. Also, a new bar (less exciting) somewhere here in Bushwick proper (can’t say the location, sorry!) is in the works. We shall see. I hope she doesn’t kill me for giving even this little hint.

please be thai please be thai.
Just a simple, tasty place like Amarin. Doesn’t need to have any style, just good food. And at reasonable prices so the entire neighborhood can enjoy. (as in, nothing hoity toity and over the mark for the state of the hood)
Oh and delivery. Please be thai.
Becky May 16th, 2007 at 11:13 am
I’d prefer a good diner, or at least a good burger. Speaking of, does anyone know of a good diner/burger in the Jefferson stop area? Ridgewood Eats delivers but they always, and I mean always, eff my order up.

i second Thai. Please.
dana May 16th, 2007 at 12:29 pm
the storefront on flushing? that is the future thai place, right?
david May 16th, 2007 at 12:35 pm
Dana….where on flushing? near Life Cafe or no?
Jeremy May 16th, 2007 at 1:23 pm
Flushing has a couple of storefronts by Life that were just renovated, and they seem to be doing something with the YES NO MAYBE building (whihc would be PERFECT for a BBQ joint or some kind of summery outdoor thing), but nope, not talking about those locations. I mean IN Bushwick.
david May 16th, 2007 at 1:43 pm
What is going on at the YESNOMAYBE building?
So Jeremy, spill the info man….we’re dying for new food around here..even those of us on the Ewillburg side!
Jeremy May 16th, 2007 at 1:57 pm
No, I swore not to, and I want her to tell me more stuff in the future!
YESNOMAYBE, besides missing the O, is getting sod put down and there are huge piles of bricks and crap outside. I’ll post pics soon.
david May 16th, 2007 at 2:01 pm
Yeah post pics! Man I love this blog…and I love that you can run out and post pics at any given notice. I always wonder about the house directly to the right of the yesnomaybe building…tiny little thing. Someone bought it last year. I wonder who.
Jeremy May 16th, 2007 at 2:05 pm
I would HATE to live in that house! I always say that as I pass it. I think the trucks on Central are bad.
Pics will have to wait until tomorrow cuz the sky just turned BLACK.
Matt May 17th, 2007 at 8:22 am
…and that damn black sky from yesterday destroyed two of our tomato plants that were kicking major ass. So bummed.
Cool to hear this is ‘in’ bushwick, and I do hope the flushing/central zone gets a few more things hopping. That would be very nice.
david May 17th, 2007 at 11:06 am
So jeremy please do your Sherlock Holmes bit and suss out what is happening w/ the yesnomatbe building?
armstrong May 18th, 2007 at 8:32 am
FYI – If you check out the “bushwick links” section, and go to the last one (the-wick) there is a section with restaurant listings and reviews.
bushwickgirl May 19th, 2007 at 4:14 pm
I’m very excited to hear about a new restaurant. Keep us posted…we all want to know as soon as you can spill the beans!
